25 YEARS OF FILM. ONE NIGHT TO CELEBRATE IT ALL.Â
For 25 years, evo has helped bring ski and snowboard films, athletes, filmmakers, and fans together. Now we’re bringing 25 years of that history to the big screen for one massive night in Seattle.
We’ve pulled together an incredible lineup spanning the eras that shaped ski and snowboard culture, featuring iconic segments from Matchstick Productions, Think Thank, and CAPiTA + Union, alongside new films and segments from the riders and filmmakers pushing things forward today. It’s a chance to relive the films and riders that inspired generations while seeing where ski and snowboard film goes next.
This isn’t your average film night. We’re bringing out the athletes, filmmakers, and brands that helped shape these stories, with live Q&As, meet-and-greets, and a massive outdoor screening on the 25th Anniversary Main Stage.
Come celebrate the history. Come see what’s next. Come be part of 25 years of ski and snowboard culture, all in one night.
And because 25 years only happens once, the first 50 people to check in will score a free ticket to our 25th Anniversary Party on October 3.
We teamed up with iconic brands and production houses with roots in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, many of which started here before helping shape ski and snowboard culture far beyond the region. Like evo, these crews have grown from Northwest roots into influential names in the industry, creating the films, supporting the riders, and telling the stories that have inspired generations.
Matchstick Productions (MSP) has been one of the most influential forces in modern ski filmmaking for more than 25 years. By blending progression, personality, and cinematic storytelling, MSP helped transform ski films into the modern action films we know today, while shaping the careers of athletes like Eric Pollard, Mark Abma, and Ingrid Backstrom.
Think Thank, founded by Jesse Burtner, helped redefine freestyle snowboarding in the 2000s with creativity, DIY spirit, humor, and an anything-goes approach to riding. Deeply rooted in the Pacific Northwest, their cult-classic films and riders like Scott Stevens, Blair Habenicht, and Gus Engle inspired a generation to see the mountain, the streets, and everything in between as something to ride.
CAPiTA and Union have been on the front lines of product innovation and shaping snowboard culture for over 20 years. Both brands have origins rooted in the Pacific Northwest, and through deep commitments to product progression, and to their pro team riders, CAPiTA and Union have become global leaders in snowboarding. They’ve helped champion the creativity, style and individuality that make snowboarding what it is today.
We’re getting the party started early. All week long, we’re bringing the evo community together to ride, run, skate, watch, and celebrate the sports we love.
